What lies behind you and what lies in front of you, pales in comparison to what lies inside of you.-Ralph Waldo Emerson

Group Interests

Whether you’re new to the community or simply want to pursue a new hobby, the Y brings together people who love to learn. Whether you want to travel, join a Bible study, book club, learn to paint or speak a new language—you’ll be alongside others from your community who share your interests.

WHO WE ARE

The Y is the nation's leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. We believe strong communities are possible only when we invest in our kids, our health and our neighbors.

Our Mission

To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

Our Cause

At the Y, strengthening community is our cause. We believe that lasting personal and social change can only come about when we all work together to invest in our kids, our health and our neighbors. That's why we focus our work in three areas: youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

The Y

The Y is one of the nation’s leading nonprofits strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Across the U.S., 2,700 Ys engage 22 million men, women and children – regardless of age, income or background – to nurture the potential of children and teens, improve the nation’s health and well-being, and provide opportunities to give back and support neighbors. Anchored in more than 10,000 communities, the Y has the long-standing relationships and physical presence not just to promise, but to deliver, lasting personal and social change.
